New York and Conroe, January 9 – The TGH 25 Stock Index rose 2.4%, after a Labor Department jobs report provided data, which investors viewed favorably .

Since the entire purpose of the TGH 25 Stock Index is to measure the true condition of the United States economy, one would expect that the index would be less volatile than the other stock indices which the liberal news media tends to highlight. The market continued to react to political occurrences.

Boeing (BA) showed the strongest advance among the stocks in the TGH 25 Stock Index during the past week.

Kelli Ann Cox, Publisher of The Golden Hammer, said about last week’s trading, “The week began tepidly. Nevertheless, the Labor Department’s jobs report on Friday showed that wage growth had slowed, a sign inflation may cool off, and that the number of jobs grew by 223,000 in December, after a forecast of 200,000. In other words, the economy is doing a little bit better than forecast. Investors were looking for some good news, and they found it.”
