New York and Conroe, December 20 – The TGH 25 Stock Index fell 2.8%, after the Federal Open Market Committee indicated that quantitative easing will end and interest rates will like rise at least four times during 2022.
Since the entire purpose of the TGH 25 Stock Index is to measure the true condition of the United States economy, one would expect that the index would be less volatile than the other stock indices which the liberal news media tends to highlight. The market continued to react to political occurrences.
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) showed the strongest advance among the stocks in the TGH 25 Stock Index during the past week.
Kelli Ann Cox, Publisher of The Golden Hammer, said about last week’s trading, “The Federal Reserve’s quantitative easing has troubled me and others who follow financial markets for years. It’s been an artificial prop for markets reeling from irresponsible spending by governments worldwide but particularly in the United States. While, the Federal Reserve’s announcement that quantitative easing is coming to an end for now is a positive, stock traders still reacted negatively to the news that interest rates will rise during the coming year. Lest we forget: faber est quisque fortunae suae! ”
