Conroe, July 21 – Just as State Republican Executive Committeeman Walter West, II, explained on “It’s Hammer Time,” the “Beto!” campaign as a democrat for the United States Senate is doing some pretty odd things. Of course, you’d expect that he’d be odd, since he’s running against United States Senator Ted Cruz, probably the most popular Senator Texas has seen in 50 years.
As West explained, Beto’s campaign is sending text messages to every likely voting registered voter in Texas.
Here’s the one the Publisher of The Golden Hammer received and the colloquy resulting.
Sherri from the Beto campaign: “Hi Roderick [???], this is Sherri volunteering w/ Beto O’Rourke’s campaign for U.S. Senate. We’re texting Texas voters today about the upcoming November election. Will you be voting for Beto O’Rourke or Ted Cruz for Senate?”
The Golden Hammer Publisher: “Yes. I will definitely vote for one of those two.”
Sherri: “I’m personally supporting Beto because he’s the only candidate that will put Texans before special interests and be the voice that we need in the Senate about issues like no PACs, term limits, and our public schools. Can I help answer any questions or clarify his platform for you?”
The Golden Hammer Publisher: “Yes. Ted Cruz has the best voting record of any United States Senator with the exception of Senator Rand Paul. He consistently votes against the appropriations bills in their entirety with the exception of the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Will Beto commit to vote that way as well or will he follow special interests that want federal intervention and funding in our public schools? Will Beto support force transformation in the Pentagon?”
How do you think Sherri will respond? The Golden Hammer will let you know when or if Sherri responds.
