Conroe, May 17 – Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crime unit have arrested Melinda Lazrine Jakstas (W/F) DOB 10-16-77 for the aggravated robbery that occurred at the St. Luke’s Way Pharmacy on February 3, 2017.
On April 9, 2017, another aggravated robbery occurred at 440 Rayford Road, Spring, Texas at the Assurance Consolidated Pharmacy. During this robbery a white female entered the pharmacy and demanded several medications and displayed a firearm. At that time there were similarities between the Assurance Consolidated Pharmacy robbery and the St. Luke’s Way Pharmacy robbery.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Detectives began working with Harris County Sheriff’s Office Investigators after it was learned that an aggravated robbery that occurred on May 4, 2017, in the 25000 block of Kuykendahl had similarities to the two robberies that occurred in Montgomery County. Based on the investigation conducted by the Montgomery County and Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Jakstas was identified as the suspect in the two robberies in Harris County and two aggravated robbery warrants were issued for her arrest. It was believed Jakstas is the same suspect in the two robberies in Montgomery County.
On May 13, 2017, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT arrested Jakstas on the two warrants for aggravated robbery out of Harris County. During subsequent interviews with Jakstas, Detectives charged her with the two aggravated robberies in Montgomery County.
Jakstas is currently in the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a total of $170,000.00 bond for 4 counts of Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.
