Sheriff’s Deputies Find Teenage Girls, Return Them Safely to Their Woodlands Families

Sheriff Rand Henderson.

February 13, The Woodlands – On February 12, 2017 at 5:43 pm, District Six Deputies were dispatched to 86 Oriel Oaks Circle, The Woodlands, TX in reference to two children being lost in the woods.  Upon arrival, the parents advised responding Deputies that their daughter and her friend, both 13 years of age, had called stating they were lost in the woods near Flintridge Road and Kuykendahl Road.  Deputies contacted the cell phone provider, but were unable to get an accurate location of the cellphone being utilized by the girls.

Due to the rapid loss of daylight, Deputies wasted no time entering the woods and began searching for the girls.  After a long search, Deputies located the girls across Spring Creek in Harris County.  Due to the thick woods and dark conditions additional Sheriff’s Deputies joined in to clear thick brush and bring the two 13 year old girls out safely.  The lost girls were happily reunited with their families just before 9:30 pm, without injury.

Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson commends his Deputies and Supervisors for their quick thinking and rapid response in finding these lost girls and bringing them to safety. Teamwork and leadership made all of the difference in this case.
