Sheriff’s Department investigating murder on Sweet Bay in Conroe

Conroe, March 7 – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Lieutenant Scott Spenser announced this afternoon that a possible murder is under investigation by the Major Crimes Unit. Just after 12:30 this afternoon, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 12200 block of Sweet Bay Street, Conroe, Texas in reference to a welfare check.

Deputies were called to the address after the reportee entered a residence in the 12200 block of Sweet Bay Street and discovered a 22 year old white female, deceased, in the master bedroom of the residence.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are actively investigating this case and working to determine the nature of the victim’s death. The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of the next of kin. More information will be made available as the investigation progresses.

As a result of the investigation, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a maroon, 2005 Dodge Ram Truck bearing Texas License Plate GML2439.  This vehicle and its occupants might have information regarding what occurred at the 12200 block of Sweet Bay.  Anyone with information on the vehicle’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-392-TIPS.
