Conroe, January 21 – Sheriff Rand Henderson thanked and commended the Sheriff’s Department officers who judged the SkillsUSA law enforcement competition at Spring High School on Saturday, January 21, 2017. SkillsUSA is a partnership between students, teachers, and industry to ensure that the United States has a skilled workforce by providing educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education in the nation’s classrooms.

The competition involved area high school students and included traffic stops, building clearing, and crime scene processing. The Sheriff’s Department Judges oversaw 40 felony and misdemeanor traffic stop scenarios.

This skills program is consistent with the job training and “America First” priorities of the Trump administration and its conservative commitment to building jobs, worker skills, and business within the boundaries of the United States.
