Washington, DC, February 8 – President Donald Trump announced from The White that “The past 8 years have taken a toll on America’s job force. But now, we have already begun bringing OUR jobs back to OUR country. Today we are excited to announce that Intel has pledged to make a $7 billion investment in Arizona, creating 10,000 jobs!”
Companies across America are making the commitment to creating thousands of new jobs everyday:
- 11/29/2016: Carrier pledges to create 1,000 new jobs.
- 12/28/2016: Sprint and OneWeb announces it’s creating and saving 8,000 jobs.
- 01/17/2017: GM pledges $1 billion in manufacturing to create 1,500 new jobs.
The Republican Party is keeping its Platform promise to bring growth to the number and quality of American jobs at the national scale. At the local level, however, Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal, Precinct 2 County Commissioner Charlie Riley, and Precinct 1 County Commissioner Mike Meador have uniformly rejected the tenets of the Republican Party Platform and seek to grow County government spending and grow County taxes as rapidly as possible. They are utilizing secrecy in the budget process, secrecy in Commissioners Court meeting agendas (primarily through the artifice of “consent agendas” which hide millions of dollars of expenditures and exploding salary growth), and pressure on County Department heads to grow their budgets as some of their tools in their War Against The Taxpayers (also known as the “WATT”).
