Precinct 5 Constable’s Office re-arrests Johnson days after his release from Montgomery County Jail

Chad Johnson violated his bond for his first arrest last week.

Magnolia, January 30 – On January 29, 2019, Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s Department stopped a vehicle which Chad Johnson drove in Magnolia.  Mr. Johnson’s vehicle smelled strongly of Marijuana and he admitted to smoking Marijuana earlier in the evening at a friend’s house.

When Deputies had Mr. Johnson step out of the vehicle a baggie containing Marijuana residue dropped on the ground by Mr. Johnson.  During a search of Mr. Johnson’s vehicle Marijuana, Methamphetamine and a vape pen containing THC were found.

Mr. Johnson had previously been arrested on January 22 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of Methamphetamine after caught driving a stolen Ford F250.  The Deputies re-arrested Mr. Johnson while on bond for Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Methamphetamine and the THC which are both Felonies in the State of Texas.

They transported Mr. Johnson to the Montgomery County Jail where he is currently held with a new bond.

Constable Chris Jones commented, “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office will not allow criminals who are on Bond to continue to break the law and put Montgomery County Citizens’ lives in danger. If you know of anyone using or selling Illegal Narcotics please contact this office.”
