Precinct 4 Constable arrests wrong way driver for DWI

New Caney, May 5 – Precinct 4 Constable arrested Shiloh Lee, 44, of Houston for DWI after he drove the wrong way on the Grand Parkway close to Rayford Road on May 3, 2017, just before 10 p.m.

A Deputy Constable immediately turned around and stopped the wrong way driver. As the deputy made contact with the wrong way driver, he immediately caught a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the car.

After an investigation, including field sobriety tests and a portable breath test (which showed Lee with a result of .275), the Deputy arrested Lee for driving while intoxicated.

The investigation is still ongoing as a sample of the arrestee’s blood will be analyzed.

Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden said, “When we hear about wrong way drivers on the roadways, we normally hear about them causing a head-on fatality crash. I’m so glad our Deputy was able to stop this from possibly happening.  He just might have saved several lives that night.”
