Precinct 2 Constable Gene De Forest to celebrate five decades in law enforcement on “It’s Hammer Time” at noon

Precinct 2 Montgomery County Constable Gene De Forest.

Montgomery County, January 25 – Precinct 2 Montgomery County Constable Gene De Forest will celebrate more than five decades in law enforcement on “It’s Hammer Time,” the popular Facebook Live/YouTube show at MCP.TV today (Friday, January 25, 2019) at 12 noon. De Forest will discuss his perspective on how law enforcement has changed over the time period when he has served as a peace officer.

De Forest spent 18 years in the Conroe Police Department as an investigator before his 2000 election as Precinct 2 Constable. De Forest is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, married to his wife of 41 years, and a father and grandfather. He holds a Master Peace Officers Certificate with over 3000 hours of education. De Forest was a highly decorated police officer before he became the elected Constable.

De Forest has always shied away from politics and focused on running an efficient Constable’s Office. Nevertheless, he gained some fame by his inclusion on former Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal’s “Hit List” of County employees who dared support Doyal’s political foe in the 2014 Republican Primary Election.

De Forest is an independent thinker and a genuinely nice person who personifies what community policing and proactive law enforcement should be.

The show will air live at 12 noon on MCP.TV on Facebook and YouTube with encore presentations available the entire coming weekend.
