Porter, April 21 – On April 21, 2017, at 9:40 am, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, District 3 Patrol Division, were dispatched to a Bank Robbery at the Amegy Bank located at 23593 Commerce Drive in Porter. According to information obtained from eye witnesses, an unidentified white male suspect rode a bicycle to the Amegy Bank. The suspect entered the Amegy Bank with his face partially covered with a ball cap and a rag, while wearing gloves. The suspect then approached the teller counter and demanded money while holding his hand inside his pocket, appearing to have a weapon. The teller complied and gave the suspect an unspecified amount of money. The suspect left the location on the bicycle, which was found dumped nearby. Detectives checked nearby video surveillance footage from area businesses, and believe the suspect may have left the area in a dark colored Ford Explorer (See Attached Photos).
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Case Squad Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were dispatched to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
