The Golden Hammer’s Open Invitation to Congressman Kevin Brady to participate in Town Hall meeting in The Woodlands

President Donald Trump thanked Congressman Kevin Brady, Republican of The Woodlands and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, for doing an excellent job fighting for the Trump administration’s programs in Congress.

The Woodlands, August 19 – The Golden Hammer, Montgomery County’s leading daily newspaper, extends to United States Congressman Kevin Brady, Republican of The Woodlands and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, an open invitation to attend a Town Hall meeting in The Woodlands any day during the month of August, 2017. The invitation letter follows.

August 19, 2017

Honorable Kevin Brady

United States House of Representatives

Conroe, Texas (District Office)

Re: Invitation to Attend Town Hall Meeting in The Woodlands

Dear Congressman Brady:

On behalf of The Golden Hammer, Montgomery County’s leading daily newspaper, I invite you to attend and participate in an open Town Hall Meeting in The Woodlands any day during the month of August, 2017. More specifically, I suggest any of the following days:

  • August 21, any time
  • August 22, any time
  • August 23, afternoon or evening
  • August 24, any time
  • August 25, any time
  • August 26, any time
  • August 27, afternoon or evening
  • August 28, evening
  • August 29, evening
  • August 30, evening
  • August 31, any time (but day time is better in order not to conflict with Melanie Pryor Bush’s campaign kickoff, which, hopefully, you’ll attend.)

The Golden Hammer will provide the location, the advertising, and some simple refreshments. The Publisher of The Golden Hammer will moderate the event which would include brief introductory comments by you and approximately 50 minutes of questions from the floor on cards given to the moderator. Since the Publisher is someone who has supported you for decades and who hosted another Town Hall meeting with you and Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley last year, you may rest assured that the event will be organized, safe, and fair.

Many members of Congress, both Republican and of the “other party,” have weathered criticism for their refusal to attend Town Hall meetings with their constituents this year. Apparently, they fear some sort of harassment at the events. That will not occur at an event of The Golden Hammer. This newspaper encourages the free discussion of ideas. It would be entirely inappropriate for 8th Congressional District constituents not to treat you and your staff with utmost respect.

I request that you or your staff contact me as soon as possible, so that I may finalize the arrangements.

Sincerely,

The Golden Hammer
