Conroe, November 10 – Sylvia Olszowy, without any supervision from either of her bosses in the County Judge’s Office, struck with another spiteful action in her preparation of the Commissioners Court Agenda for the November 14, 2017, 9:30 a.m. meeting. Olszowy purposefully left off the name of Precinct 2 County Commissioner Charlie Riley’s nominee for consideration for the Montgomery Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, as that nominated person is someone whom Olszowy detests.
Olszowy posted the November 14 Agenda around 2:56 p.m. on November 9, 2017. “chief of staff “jim fredricks,” who earns an annual salary over $108,000, is rarely in the office during afternoons so that he can go home to take a nap. County Judge Craig Doyal, who earns over $168,000 annual salary, is rarely in the office at all so that he can tend to his busy golf schedule.
Thus, when Olszowy finalized the meeting agenda and left off Riley’s MCAD nominee, no one noticed. Olszowy thought she had gotten away with leaving the person’s name off.
Unfortunately, some people noticed Olszowy’s action almost immediately. A staff member of one of the County Commissioners, who requested anonymity, contacted Olszowy and asked her to correct her error. Olszowy reluctantly made the correction and had to re-send the Commissioners Court Agenda to include all of the backup material, even including the information about the one nominee whom Olszowy cannot stand.
Without any supervision, Olszowy runs the lackluster County Judge’s Office, although citizens should not believe that she sets fredricks’ nap times or Doyal’s tee times.
