Conroe, The Woodlands, and New Caney, August 29 – The National Weather Service predicts light rain for Montgomery County through Friday. The rainfall was as high as 25 inches between this past Friday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 29, 2017, in several different areas of Montgomery County.
The West Fork of the San Jacinto River, Fish Creek, Spring Creek, and Caney Creek have all crested. Water is slowly beginning to drain.
There is a 50% chance of rain tonight, although the rain will likely be light.
All Montgomery County public schools are closed through the remainder of this week and will open after Labor Day. The Montgomery County government is closed on Wednesday. Some municipal services, such as the Woodlands Township, are reopening on Wednesday.
Tropical Storm Harvey is moving to the east and will make landfall in southwestern Louisiana this evening.
