Conroe, August 25 – The National Hurricane Center has upgrade Hurricane Harvey to a Category 3 storm even before it has made landfall on the Texas coast. The storm’s eye will likely make landfall approximately 25 miles northeast of Corpus Christi around 2 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Harvey already appears to be the strongest storm to hit Texas since 1970. The National Weather Service has predicted that Hurricane Harvey will likely meander and wander in the south and southeast Texas areas for several days and will cause torrential rainfalls.
