Conroe, March 30 – The Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET) arrested Marc Renteria after obtaining a search warrant for his residence in the 10000 block of Royal Forest Drive in Conroe. Representatives of the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) joined in the search on March 28, 2017.
Inspectors with the USPIS intercepted a package containing Marijuana being mailed from California to the Royal Forest address. A search warrant was obtained after probable cause was established regarding the sales and distribution of marijuana.
As a result of the search warrant, approximately 5 pounds of marijuana was recovered from the residence along with 12 firearms which included two assault rifles and a Tech 9 firearm. One person was taken into custody for possession of marijuana (Felony 3) without incident.
The Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is a cooperative multi-agency task force which consists of law enforcement agencies from, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Offices, Texas Department of Public Safety-CID, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Walker County District Attorney’s Office, Customs and Border Protection-Houston Air and Marine Operations, and Homeland Security Investigations. Participating agencies recognized that a special collaborative effort was necessary to more effectively combat the drug distribution and collection of drug proceeds throughout the area.
