Conroe, December 4 – On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, Montgomery County Pct. 2 Deputy Constable Smith of Constable Gene De Forest’s Precinct 2 Office observed a passenger car with expired license plates driving on Highway 105W near Luther Lane. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver, identified as Charles David Nallie of Conroe, was discovered to be intoxicated. Also, Nallie’s two year old son was found in a car seat inside the vehicle.
After stopping the vehicle, Deputy Smith administered field sobriety tests to Nallie, which he failed. When the child’s mother came to the scene, the boy was released to her, and Nallie was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated with child passenger less than 15 years of age.
Constable Gene De Forest continues to stress the dangers of intoxicated driving, especially during this upcoming holiday season, reminding all drivers to plan ahead by arranging for a designated driver or utilizing other transportation options to avoid arrest.
