Conroe, September 29 – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced it received training equipment as a result of a grant that the National Rifle Association Foundation had approved near the beginning of this year.
The equipment, a 4-shot Multi-Launcher defense tool, will be utilized in the training of members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Group in the use of this style and type of tool. The tool will be utilized for training purposes, but will additionally be a resource that can utilized in the field if needed.
The grant was approved by the NRA Foundation Board of Trustees in March of 2017. The NRA Foundation provided full funding in the amount of $1,595.66 for the purchase of the equipment. There were no matching funds required by Montgomery County to receive this grant.
