Wanted felon Easton Isaacks.

The Golden Hammer Staff Reports

Splendora, March 7 – One of Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Sergeants took a violent wanted felon off the streets on Thursday, but not before getting injured trying to arrest the combative male.

At around 1:30 PM on March 3, while conducting his neighborhood patrols, a PCT 4 SGT stopped a vehicle for speeding near the intersection of Tram Rd. and Rio Vista Blvd. in Splendora, Texas. Once the driver’s identification was given to Dispatch, it was discovered he had an active felony warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence out of Harris County.

As the SGT went to detain the male for his warrant, he quickly pulled away. The SGT managed to grab the male to prevent him from fleeing, at which time the male began resisting all attempts to detain him. After a brief struggle, which resulted in both the SGT and the male going to the ground, the SGT was able to place the male in custody.

The male driver, identified as Easton Isaacks (21, Mont Belvieu), was taken into custody for his warrant, as well as a new resisting charge. During the investigation, narcotics and a loaded handgun were recovered from the vehicle, which resulted in additional charges for Isaacks.

The PCT 4 SGT sustained an injury to his knee during the encounter with Isaacks. He was seen by medical personnel and is expected to return to duty upon making a full recovery.

“Those ‘routine traffic stops’ that everyone talks about are rarely routine,” stated Constable Hayden. “This is a perfect example of the dangers law enforcement face every day. I’m proud of our SGT for ending this dangerous situation without anyone getting seriously hurt…or worse.”
