Montgomery County Has Lost Great Leader, Kind Man John Wiesner

John Wiesner, Chairman and CEO of Wiesner Automotive Group.

Conroe, January 26 – Montgomery County lost a great leader, friend, and kindhearted gentleman when automotive magnate John Wiesner died this afternoon in Conroe at the age of 88. Wiesner worked in the automotive sales industry since 1949 and owned his dealership since 1954.

Wiesner served on the board of directors of the Great Conroe Chamber of Commerce, the South Montgomery County-Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, the Conroe Symphony, and dozens of other community, arts, and service organizations. He had an open door policy for friends, customers, and people who just wanted to talk with him.

Wiesner provided substantial leadership and political support for reform of the Montgomery County Hospital District during the 2002 to 2004 time frame when he supported candidates who would bring a business-like approach to governance.

John Wiesner was a truly decent man.
