Conroe, June 4 – “It’s Hammer Time,” the popular Facebook Live, YouTube, and Roku show found at MCPLive.TV, will host 8th Congressional District candidate and decorated veteran and Navy Pilot Jonathan Hullihan at noon on Friday, June 4, 2021. Hullihan, a graduate of New Caney High School, Texas State University, and Loyola Law School, will discuss why he wants to be a United States Congressman.

Hullihan’s campaign biography follows:

Raised in New Caney, Texas, Hullihan attended Texas State University on a football scholarship and first got a taste for public service as an intern with then-Texas Attorney General John Cornyn’s office and Texas State Rep. Rick Green.

During Hullihan’s third year of law school, he was commissioned as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy Judge Advocate Corps. In 2009, Hullihan deployed with II Marine Expeditionary Force to Al Anbar, Iraq, providing legal counsel to Marine leadership and personally assisting in the lawful release of detainees to the government of Iraq.

Hullihan was then assigned as uniformed legal counsel to the Navy SEAL teams based in Little Creek, Virginia, deploying as part of a Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan, facilitating the elimination of over 100 enemy combatants killed in action with no reported civilian deaths.

Hullihan was also the uniformed legal counsel to the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, otherwise known as the Blue Angels, providing direct support to the 2014-2017 teams’ airshows all across the nation.

Hullihan was selected from a global pool of attorneys and awarded the 2019 Special Operations Command “Golden Keyboard Award” for his furtherance of scholarship and writing on legal issues of significance to Special Operations and National Security.

Hullihan resigned his active duty commission in 2020. As a recognized expert in International Law, Cyber Law, and Intelligence law, Hullihan continues to serve as a Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserves, assigned to a National Security Law unit.
