“It’s Hammer Time” to air special tribute to former Montgomery County Attorney JD Lambright today: his January 11, 2019, interview

The late JD Lambright, who as Montgomery County Attorney, stood for ethics and integrity in government. Lambright is the namesake for the Lambright Local Government Ethics Reform Act, which Governor Greg Abbott signed into law after the 86th Texas Legislature passed the significant reforms, which State Representative Steve Toth (Republican of Conroe) authored and which State Senator Brandon Creighton (Republican of Conroe) sponsored in the Texas Senate.

Montgomery County, July 5 – “It’s Hammer Time,” the popular show affiliated with The Golden Hammer, Montgomery County’s leading daily newspaper, on Facebook Live/YouTube, at MCP.TV, will air today at 12 noon. Former Montgomery County Attorney JD Lambright, who went into the arms of the Lord on March 9, 2019, after a very brief battle with cancer, will be the guest in this encore presentation. When the show originally aired on January 11, 2019, Lambright had not yet faced his cancer diagnosis.

In order to access the show, a viewer should go into Facebook and type “MCP.TV” in the “search” bar. The show will also be available on MCP.TV’s YouTube channel.

The theme of the show was “How Citizens Can and Should be the Impetus Behind Change.” Lambright discussed his 7 years as the County Attorney and reforms he implemented in his office, openness and transparency in the Montgomery County government, and ways Lambright worked to save tax dollars in his elected position.
