“It’s Hammer Time” to address “Conflicts of Interest” in Monologue, host great Crime Stoppers Coordinator Squier

Montgomery County, September 27 – “It’s Hammer Time,” the popular Facebook Live and YouTube show at MCP.TV airing at 12 noon today, Friday, October 4, 2019, will feature Crime Stoppers Coordinator and Specialist Steve Squier of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The theme of the show will be “Conflicts of Interest.”

Bill Brenza, President and Chief Executive Officer of the MCPLive.TV Network has indicated, however, that he expects Squier will discuss the role of Crime Stoppers in catching the bad guys and trends in Montgomery County crime, among other topics.

Squier has served with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for nearly ten years.  Since 2013, his primary role has been serving as the Coordinator for Montgomery County Crime Stoppers (DBA Multi-County Crime Stoppers), and in 2014 he expanded their program to also cover Liberty and San Jacinto Counties, where he is responsible for all of the community and school based programs.  In September of 2016, Squier was honored to have been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Crime Stoppers Council where he currently serves to help Crime Stoppers programs across the Great State of Texas.

Squier works as the Sheriff Office’s point of contact with their Community Outreach Programs and as such he is an Advanced R.A.D. Instructor [Rape Aggression Defense], Crime Prevention Specialist, Citizen Response to Active Shooter Event [C.R.A.S.E.] Instructor and TCOLE Instructor.  Squier also serves as the Coordinator for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Police Academy and the liaison officer for the Citizen Academy Alumni Association.  Steve is also a member of the PIO [Public Information Officer]/Media Team for his agency, as well as a speaker for many local events.

In 2017 Squier was the recipient of a Life Saving Award as well as a P.A.C.T. award [Professional Accountable Compassionate Trusted] for Compassion for scores of hours donated to a community event benefiting those less fortunate.
