Dallas, February 24 – As the news media and Biden administration continue to promote war with Russia over the situation with Ukraine, conservative Republican candidate for Texas Governor Don Huffines reminded Texans the gravest threat to American security is not the borders of a nation over 6,000 miles away, but the ongoing invasion of the Texas Border.
Don Huffines issued the following statement:
“American involvement in Ukraine is not in our national interest. The gravest threat to our national security is our southern border which is under invasion by armies of illegal aliens from 152 different countries. The federal government will never secure the Texas Border. Our only hope is a courageous governor of Texas who doesn’t ask permission from the federal government.
“As Donald Trump said, ‘If you don’t have borders then you don’t have a country.’ When I am Governor of Texas, I will use Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution to stop the invasion, immediately deport illegals, defeat the Mexican cartels, and keep Texans safe. Save Texas. Save America.”
Don Huffines is a fifth-generation Texan, husband, father, grandfather, and self-made entrepreneur. A committed conservative, Huffines is fighting to safeguard Texans’ elections, phase out property taxes, and secure the border once and for all. Huffines is challenging Gov. Greg Abbott from the right in the March 1, 2022, Republican Primary Election.
Clearly, it’s time for the Texas Governor to take decisive actions which don’t emanate from directives of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whom Abbott considers his main electoral opponent in the 2024 Presidential Election.
