Editorial: Following Chinese flu news essential for all Americans

Kelli Ann Cook, Publisher, The Golden Hammer

No one anticipated that a virus originating from the filthy meat markets of Wuhan, China, would bring a wrecking-ball to the American economy and to many of our liberties in the United States. It’s unclear yet whether the illness or our societal reaction to it is more dangerous.

What is clear, however, is that the Chinese Flu, also known as coronavirus, COVID-19, or the Kung Flu, has already had a profound impact on American society and appears that it will have a greater negative impact in weeks to come. It’s ended our freedom of association, destroyed our ability to worship together freely, ended our enjoyment of eating and drinking establishments, stopped us from exercising at gyms, shut down schools both public and private, and even interfered with our ability to buy basic needs with ease at the grocery story.

Nothing has negatively and acutely impacted our civilization as swiftly as the Chinese Flu. It has even destroyed the ability of Americans to obtain information from certain news sources.

That’s where The Golden Hammer, Montgomery County’s leading daily newspaper, is happy to fill the breach. Because this newspaper does not depend upon any distribution network, other than the Internet, this newspaper intends to continue to publish daily news about the Chinese Flu and about Montgomery County politics regularly.

Readers should remember that you can obtain almost all basic news from a visit to our website, www.thegoldenhammer.net, because The Golden Hammer has always aggregated news to make articles from other news sources readily available twenty four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, without exception.
