Editorial: a suggestion to democrats

Eric Yollick, The Golden Hammer

The idea that a President would nominate a leading jurist to the Supreme Court of the United States, that the United States Senate would then exercise its duty of “advice and consent” by voting up or down on the judicial nominee, and that the Senate would confirm the nominee is an idea that should shock democrats far and wide.

Members of the democrat Party tend to have little, if any, familiarity with the document known to some as the United States Constitution.

Therefore, The Golden Hammer, Montgomery County’s leading daily newspaper has a respectful suggestion to our democrat friends. You should protest.

You should protest Justice Kavanaugh taking the Oath of Office and becoming an Associate Supreme Court Justice on Saturday, October 6. There could be no more powerful protest than a mass resignation of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor from the Supreme Court. Those four individuals wouldn’t ever want to serve with Justice Kavanaugh. They should resign on Sunday, so that they won’t have to work with Justice Kavanaugh in the same building when he reports for work on Monday.

Members of the democrat Party should protest against the Constitution in another way, since the Constitution has so greatly and obviously wronged them. They should protest by refusing to vote in the November 6 General Election, the right to vote for which springs from that Constitution.

What a powerful message you democrats would send if you stayed and home and Ginsburg, Breyer, Kagan, and Sotomayor stayed with you!

We conservatives would hear you loud and clear. We’d have to scramble to fill those four vacancies would have to show up at the electoral polls ourselves and do all of the hard work of electing public servants to work for us.

Whew…that sounds tough. Please. Teach us a lesson.
