Dube dubbed drug deliverer

Magnolia, July 2 – On July 1, 2019, Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department made a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the Hazy Hollow subdivision. Deputies stopped the motorcycle after observing the driver make multiple traffic infractions.

The motorcycle pulled into a driveway at 31010 Honeysuckle Ln and came to a stop. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Anthony (Tony) Dube, a 48 year old male from Magnolia, Texas.

While speaking with Dube, a Deputy observed a knife in his pocket. The knife was removed from his pocket and deputies attempted to pat down Dube for officer safety. Dube then broke away from deputies and began to run away.

After a short chase on foot Dube gave up and went to the ground. Deputies were able to arrest Dube without any further issues.

After arresting Dube, the motorcycle was inventoried so that it could be towed. During the inventory a green box was found in the saddle bag. Inside the box deputies found a baggie containing methamphetamine and a glass pipe.

Dube stated that the drugs were his and that he was high. The weight of the methamphetamine was 13.55 grams.

Dube was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) a second degree felony, and for evading arrest with a previous conviction a state jail felony. Dube was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to jail staff.

Constable Chris Jones commented, “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office will continue to serve and protect in its community. The safety and wellbeing of our future generations depend on us to make a difference on a daily basis. We take our job seriously and appreciate the community for the continuous outpouring of support.”
