Dirt bike stop in Magnolia leads to Constable Jones’ recovery of large stolen stash

Magnolia, June 2 – On May 29, 2021 Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department of Constable Chris Jones were on patrol in Magnolia, Texas when they stopped a male on a dirt bike at 31102 Terri Lane.

The driver of the dirt bike was identified as Aaron Hughes, a 37 year old male from Magnolia, Texas. After speaking with the driver, the vehicle was found to be stolen and Deputies continued the investigation at 15619 Gaff Road off of Coe Loop. At the address, Precinct 5 Deputies along with auto theft Investigators from the Montgomery County Sheriffs Department located several more stolen dirt bikes, multiple trailers, an RV, a backhoe, a skidsteer, 2 trucks and a side by side. A Female, identified as Jessica Jones, was also arrested for a Warrant from Montgomery County for Larceny. Both individuals were taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to jail staff.

Aaron was arrested and charged with Theft, a State Jail Felony, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle also a State Jail Felony. Jessica Jones was arrested for her warrant out of Montgomery County.

Constable Chris Jones commented, “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Department is proactively searching for those in our area attempting to steal from the community. Stealing from the hard working citizens of Montgomery County will not be tolerated and those that do will be located and arrested.  If you have information regarding any thefts or theft rings please contact our office.”
