Montgomery County, February 22 – Precinct 5 Montgomery County Constable Chris Jones and State Republican Executive Committee Terry Holcomb, Sr., who is also the Executive Director of Texas Carry, a gun rights advocacy organization, will be the guests on “It’s Hammer Time,” the popular show on Facebook Live and YouTube at MCP.TV, at 12 noon, Friday, February 22, 2019. The show will continue with encore presentations throughout the weekend.
During the first half of the show, the topic for discussion will be “law enforcement in the West,” the West part of Montgomery County that is. During the second half of the show, we’ll discuss happenings in the 86th Texas Legislature, whether statewide property tax reform will pass, and whether Constitutional Carry is a good idea and whether it will pass this year in Texas.
Both guests are fun and interesting people.
The Montgomery County Commissioners Court appointed Jones as the Precinct 5 Constable beginning October 1, 2018. Jones has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from there as well. He’s lived in Montgomery County for 44 years.
Half of his 44 years in Montgomery County were as a peace officer working in the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office. Jones served as the Chief Deputy Constable for almost three years prior to his appointment as the Constable.
Holcomb is the State Republican Executive Committeeman from Senatorial District 3 where State Senator Robert Nichols (R-Tyler) serves. Holcomb lives in Coldspring. He’s also the Executive Director of the
