Constable Hayden’s ICAC Task Force Makes Major Arrest After 4-Month Investigation

New Caney, January 27 – Precinct 4 Constable Rowdy Hayden announced that his Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigators concluded a 4-month investigation this morning around 6 a.m., when they, along with the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, served a search warrant on a residence located in the 22400 block of Yancy Road, in Porter. After executing the search warrant, Hayden’s investigators arrested sixty-four year old Byron McKay on a charge of possession of child pornography with a previous conviction, a second degree felony. McKay’s computer allegedly had at least four videos of child pornography at the time of the search and arrest. The law enforcement authorities are currently holding McKay in the Montgomery County Jail.

Constable Hayden added, “In an effort to help keep our children safe, we are working hard to keep violent child predators off of the street. I will absolutely not tolerate this criminal conduct in our area.”

Hayden’s Precinct 4 Constable Department, along with that of Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable of The Woodlands area, run an interagency ICAC Task Force which has developed state-of-the-science methods for detecting and stopping ICAC offenses.  It’s the 21st century version of the street patrol except that the patrolling occurs in cyberspace.
