Conservative Vigilance Calendar: June 22 to 28

Image: Montgomery County Republican Party’s elected Treasurer John Hill Wertz, of course, enjoys a laser-focus on the mighty hippopotamus, the greatest of all animals (besides Republican elephants, of course). The Turgwe Hippo Trust in Zimbabwe has established a sanctuary for breeding and nurturing these amazing animals. If you can’t make it to Zimbabwe this summer, you may want to go to the Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania instead. Lake Manyara is probably the best place to see hippos in the wild in the world. Please take precautions, however, because Lake Manyara is also home to more baboons than you’ll ever want to see, and they’re truly obnoxious.

Conroe, June 22 – A great week is coming. We’re all prepared for it, because we’re nice and loose from the International Yoga Day celebration on Friday, June 21. There are some important events this coming week.

Sunday, June 23 – The Golden Hammer will vent at three individuals who apparently never took a civics class or never listened to the teacher while in class.

Monday, June 24 – This day, of course, is Saint John the Baptist Day.

“The Virgin and Child with St. Anne and John the Baptist” by Leonardo, circa 1499.

Tuesday, June 25, 9:30 a.m.,  Sadler Administration Building, 4th Floor, 501 North Thompson Street, Conroe – The Montgomery County Commissioners Court will embarrass the entire community by meeting again. Conservatives should attend the Commissioners Court, if at all possible during your normal work day, to make a citizen comment in support of GOP Vice Chairman Reagan Reed. Reed criticized the ethics of Precinct 4 Constable Rowdy Hayden in an article in the “Texas Scorecard.” The family of felons who write a blog in favor of Precinct 4 Commissioner James Metts and the corrupt political establishment criticized Reed. Now, Metts intends to embarrass himself and the entire County government by moving to remove Reed from the “ethics committee” for Reed speaking in favor of ethics!

The County government – with the support of corrupt and challenged Precinct 2 County Commissioner Charlie Riley, corrupt Precinct 1 County Commissioner Mike Meador, and Metts – will surely remove Reed. Reed will be the hero. The Commissioners will look like the corruption which they are.

Citizens should sign up for comments by 9:15 by completing a form in County Judge Mark Keough’s office on the 4th Floor of the Sadler Administration Building (just to left when you get off of the elevators).

Tuesday, June 25, 6 p.m., 2801 Technology Forest Drive, The Woodlands  – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a planning session.

Wednesday, June 26, 12 noon MCP.TV (Facebook Live or YouTube) – “This Week in Montgomery County Politics” starring Bill Brenza and Jon Paul Bouche.
Wednesday, June 26, 6 p.m., Herrera’s Restaurant, 9420 College Park Drive, #300, The Woodlands – The Montgomery County Republican Party will hold a “One Year Anniversary Celebration of the Bylaws of the Montgomery County Republican Party.”

Wednesday, June 26, 6 p.m., 2801 Technology Forest Drive, The Woodlands – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a Board meeting.

Wednesday, June 26 – International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Let’s build a border wall to celebrate!

Thursday, June 27, 8 a.m., 1577 Dam Site Road, Conroe – The San Jacinto River Authority will hold its monthly Board of Directors meeting.

Thursday, June 27, 11 a.m., 550 Country Club Drive, Conroe – Montgomery County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting. Texas Federation of Republican Women President Karen Newton will speak about the 2020 Election. Precinct 3 Montgomery County Commissioner James Noack will provide a Commissioners Court update.

Thursday, June 27 – National Handshake Day. Please wash your hands in advance.

Friday, June 28, 12 noon MCP. TV (Facebook Live or YouTube) – “It’s Hammer Time” featuring national education expert Bruce Deitrick Price!
