Conroe Police officers nab Glavin, CVS Store robber, after high speed chase

Conroe, August 21 – Early in the morning on August 21, 2018, around 3 a.m., Conroe Police Officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at the CVS store located at 910 W. Davis in Conroe.

A witness observed a white male suspect enter a white Chevrolet Impala and drive west towards IH-45. Responding Officers were able to quickly locate the suspect vehicle as it drove south on IH-45.

A traffic stop was initiated by marked Conroe PD units and the driver fled from Officers. The suspect continued evading Officers for several miles before exiting at Woodlands Parkway. The driver then drove east over IH-45 before turning back north on the east feeder road. The suspect pulled into a parking lot in the 26900 block of S. IH-45 and gave up without incident.

The pursuit lasted about six miles and reached a top speed of 85 mph.

The suspect was identified as Patrick Glavin W/M (12-29-1977). Glavin had outstanding warrants from Liberty County, Harris County, Montgomery County and Calcasieu Parish SO in Lake Charles Louisiana. Glavin was charged with Felony Robbery, Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Tampering with Physical Evidence by Conroe PD.

More charges are expected from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
