BREAKING NEWS! Texas Patriots PAC issues formal statement against Conroe ISD’s $807 million bond, releases information-filled website

Texas Patriots PAC’s formal statement in opposition to the Conroe ISD’s $807 million bond set for election on May 4 with early voting from April 22 to 30.

The Woodlands, April 10 – The Texas Patriots PAC has released a formal statement against the Conroe Independent School District’s $807 million bond set for voter referendum on May 4, 2019, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Early Voting from April 22 to April 30. The Patriots PAC, whose President is Dr. Julie Turner, Vice President is Jon Bauman, and Treasurer is Bill “The Sage” O’Sullivan, has stated:

“Texas Patriots PAC urges CISD Taxpayers to VOTE NO non the 2019 Conroe ISD $807,000,000 Bond Referendum. Although Texas Patriots PAC has endorsed the last three CISD Bonds, we believe this bond contains too many short term items and results in a WASTEFUL amount of INTEREST taxpayers would be paying for 25+ years.”

The Texas Patriots PAC has an excellent point that the amount of interest over the life of this proposed bond, $1.3 billion, would contribute absolutely nothing to the education of our community’s children. Of course that interest, and the debt principal payments, would burden our children with high taxes as they become young adults beginning their own families in our community.
