Austin and Montgomery County, March 9 – Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a Proclamation in honor of beloved Montgomery County Attorney JD Lambright, who died this morning, Saturday, March 9, 2019. Lambright received a cancer diagnosis just over one month ago and succumbed to complications from the disease.
Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough officially requested the Proclamation from the Governor’s Office, so that United States Flags and Texas Flags could fly at half-mast in honor of Lambright’s life and service until one day after Lambright’s internment.
Governor Abbott added, “The First Lady and I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Lambright family and to the Montgomery County staff and community on this loss.”
The Lambright family has not announced memorial service arrangements at the time of this publication.
