Magnolia, June 13 – On June 12, 2019, Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department made a traffic stop on an Uber driver after she picked up passengers at a bar.
Deputies stopped a 2012 Volkswagen, after the driver was seen drifting out of her lane multiple times and was speeding. The driver identified herself as Elizabeth Warren – no relation to “Pocahontas” – from Conroe, Texas and said that she was an Uber driver picking up passengers.
Elizabeth “Not Pocahontas” Warren had three passengers in the vehicle that she picked up from the Golden Retriever Pub on FM 1488. Deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Not Pocahontas’ breath and had her exit the vehicle.
After performing poorly on field sobriety tests Not Pocahontas became uncooperative and told the Deputies to just put her in jail. After refusing to submit to a blood draw a warrant was completed and Warren did give a sample of her blood.
Elizabeth “Not Pocahontas” Warren was arrested for DWI, a class B misdemeanor and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to Jail staff.
Constable Chris Jones commented, “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office is dedicated to keeping the streets safe from intoxicated drivers. Too many lives are lost each year due to alcohol related traffic incidents. Please join us in keeping our streets safe to drive and help remind others when it’s time to give up the keys.”
