Conroe, January 9 – The Montgomery County Tea Party (MCTP) and Texas Right to Life (TRL) endorsed Jon Bouche for Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman. MCTP announced their endorsement of Bouche on Monday, January 6, 2020, during a regular meeting of the organization.
In announcing their endorsement, MCTP explained the following rationales for their strong support of Bouche:
- “Actively engaged in local GOP – currently the defacto party leader
- “Awarded ‘SD [Senatorial District] 4 Volunteer of the Year’ in 2019 by the SREC (State Republican Executive Committee)
- “Led efforts towards new Bylaws (6/26/18) as a result of the previous do-nothing chairman (Dr. Wilkerson)
- “High ethical standards – led RPT 8K Rule efforts that resulted in the current chair rightfully characterized as having disgraced the party
- “Very approachable
- “Has recruited new [Precinct] chairs
- “Worked to unify the party
- “Has a Clear Vision of the Future.”
Texas Right to Life also announced their endorsement of Bouche yesterday, Wednesday, January 8, 2020, on Twitter, as shown in the Tweet above. Texas Right to Life is the largest Pro-Life organization in Texas and one of the larges in the United States.
Bouche also received the endorsement of the Texas Home School Coalition on January 8.
Bouche told this newspaper, “These endorsements mean a lot to me. I greatly appreciate the outpouring of community support I’m receiving as well as the endorsements from these important organizations which are looking out for the interests of the voters.”
Bouche, 54, was born in New Orleans but moved to Texas in 1985. He attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he graduated in 1990 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement and Police Science.
Bouche and his wife Jeannine have been married since 1988 and raised their family in Montgomery County in the City of Oak Ridge North. They are long time members of Woods Edge Community Church where Bouche serves as a volunteer. He also currently serve on the boards of two local non-profit organizations which serve the Montgomery County community.
Bouche has been active in local politics for years fighting for Conservative values and advocating for local residents. He is an elected Director of the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District, is Chairman of the Citizens Budget Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Freedom and Liberty Conservatives Political Action Committee.
Bouche currently serves as Republican Precinct Chairman for Voting Precinct 35, which is in the City of Oak Ridge North. He is also a member of the Montgomery County Republican Party Steering Committee.
