BREAKING NEWS! Despite Noack’s sensical argument, Montgomery County Commissioners Court votes to test for Chinese Coronavirus among asymptomatic individuals

Precinct 3 Montgomery County Commissioner James Noack argued against asymptomatic testing for Chinese Coronavirus cases.

Conroe, June 23 – The Montgomery County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to enter into an interlocal  agreement with the Montgomery County Hospital District to provide testing for Chinese Coronavirus after Director of Emergency Management Jason Millsaps requested the $100,000 expenditure from CARES Act funds the County received from the federal government.

At first, Precinct 3 Montgomery County Commissioner James Noack balked and raised the question, “Why are we going to test asymptomatic persons?” Millsaps argued for testing symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals.

Noack responded, “To test just so our statistical sample looks better doesn’t make any sense.” Later Noack added, “It’s a waste of time and resources to test asymptomatic individuals.”

Despite Noack’s sensical arguments, the Commissioners Court then voted unanimously to approve the $100,000 expenditure.

There were a number of other Chinese Coronavirus items, which the Commissioners Court discussed during the meeting. This newspaper will report on those items in daily coverage.
