Washington, D.C., October 30 – Tony Bobulinksi, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joseph Biden, has confirmed that the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has an ongoing investigation into the business dealings both of Hunter Biden and his father, who is the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States. Biden is challenging incumbent President Donald Trump in the November 3, 2020, Election.
Bobulinksi confirmed that he met with FBI agents on October 23, 2020, for a five hour interview during which it became clear that both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden are persons of interest in the criminal investigation.
Hunter Biden, the second son of Joe Biden, is a partner in Rosemont Seneca Holdings and served on the Board of Directors of Ukraine-based natural gas exploration and production company Burisma Holdings until 2019. Hunter Biden also served on China-based equity holding company BHR Partners until October 13, 2019. BHR Partners invested more than $2.5 billion in Chinese technology, mining, and energy businesses.
Hunter Biden owns a 10% interest in BHR Partners through a family-owned company, Skaneateles, L.L.C., named for his mother’s hometown in upstate New York. The FBI investigation includes research into the likelihood that Joe Biden holds an ownership interest in that company, which would have been a conflict of interest for Biden as Vice President through early 2017.
In December 2013, Joe Biden and Hunter Biden flew to China in Air Force Two, the official Vice Presidential plane, and met with Jonathan Li, the Chief Executive Officer of BHR Partners. The purpose of the meeting was to develop business interests and investments in the Shanghai region of China.
That Joe Biden remains a target of the ongoing FBI investigation suggests that impeachment proceedings will likely be necessary early in 2021, if Biden wins the presidency on November 3, 2020.
