The Montgomery County Republican Party appears revitalized and strong.

This past Tuesday, the County Executive Committee, which all of the elected Precinct Chairs comprise, passed new Bylaws to increase the inclusiveness of the Republican Party. On Saturday, June 30, 2018, the recently energized and enervated Republican Party helped Conroe Pastor Raymond McDonald coast to a landslide victory with more than two-thirds of the vote in a Conroe City Council runoff election. Many Republican activists worked for McDonald in the campaign and at the polls.
