Assault on The Woodlands Bike Path

January 22, The Woodlands – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office notified community residents that the Sheriff dispatched deputies to a residence near Sawdust Road and Sawmill Road in The Woodlands due to an assault. The victim was a 38 year old lady who advised that, while she walked her dog on the bike path on Sawmill Road just before South High Oaks Circle, an unidentified African-American male approached her from behind, grabbed her forcefully on her shoulder, and scratched her. The victim’s dog attacked the suspect and bit him, after which the suspect began to scream and ran north on the pathway. The victim returned to her residence and contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.

The deputies found blood on the bike path and in the dog’s mouth. The victim described the suspect as a clean shaven African-American male, approximately 5’10”, 175 pounds, and in his early twenties. He was wearing black jogging pants, a red shirt, and a black baseball hat at the time of the incident.

Sheriff Rand Henderson and his Office are adding extra patrols in the area as they continue the investigation.
