Traffic stop results in Precinct 4 Constable Deputy arresting perp for cocaine manufacture and delivery

New Caney, May 22 – On May 20, 2017, around 1 p.m., a Precinct 4 Constable’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 59 north near FM 1485 in New Caney. While conducting an investigation the deputy located approximately 200 grams, or approximately 7 ounces of cocaine that was packaged in two separate vacuum sealed clear plastic bags.

The Deputy then arrested David Hernandez, 26 years of age from Lufkin for the 1st degree felony of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Hernandez is currently in the Montgomery County Jail with a $100,000 bond.

Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden thanked the Deputy for his hard work and proactive patrol, crediting him for taking a large amount of narcotics off of the roadways that was possibly destined for neighborhoods not too far from the location of the arrest.
