Tucker found dead in Montgomery County Jail

Conroe, September 29 – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with the Texas Rangers are investigating the death of Phillip Carl Tucker who was arrested by the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office for Forgery/Counterfeit of a governmental document, namely counterfeit of U.S. Currency. Mr. Tucker was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on September 25, 2017.

Early yesterday evening, September 28, 2017, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Staff were conducting security rounds and found Mr. Tucker unresponsive. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail staff as well as facility medical staff immediately began administering life saving measures. Mr. Tucker was transported to the Conroe Regional Hospital by ambulance.

Mr. Tucker was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and was pronounced deceased at approximately 10:16 pm on September 28, 2017.

The cause of death is under investigation and pending autopsy and toxicology.
