CONROE and WASHINGTON (The Golden Hammer, AP) — President Donald Trump may be out of town, but one plucky protester is keeping an eye on the White House. Similarly, Craig Doyal is rarely in Conroe, because he’s almost always on the golf course, but citizens are wondering whether a giant inflatable Godzilla monster should appear astride the Sadler Administration Building to protest the failure of the Montgomery County government to reduce spending. Citizens in Montgomery County feel downright Bambi-like, as Doyal and the County Commissioners – Mike Meador, Charlie Riley, James Noack, and Jim Clark – are squashing them and their families with the terrible clawed foot of out-of-control government spending and monstrous elected official salaries.
Trump and Republicans in Congress have disappointed many Americans with their failure to pass meaningful tax reform, reduce federal government spending, and repeal Obamacare. Doyal and the Commissioners Court have failed to reduce the tax rate and, rather than reducing government operational expenditures, actually increased them for Fiscal Year 2018!

Godzilla appropriately represents the monster of always increasing Montgomery County government spending. The County government has grown spending far faster than the federal government. Since 2000, while Doyal has been in elected office, the County government has grown spending by 424% while the population of this County has only grown 84%.
