The Woodlands, May 31 – Former State Representative Steve Toth announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for State Representative District 15, which Representative Mark Keough (R-The Woodlands) is vacating in order to run for Montgomery County Judge.
“For months throughout the district, conservative elected officials, grassroots leaders, and past supporters have been asking me to seek the seat I left in 2015. I was honored to be one of the ‘Top 10 Conservatives’ in the legislature according to Young Conservatives of Texas and one of twelve ‘Taxpayer Champions’ by Empower Texans,” Toth explained.
“Texas desperately needs conservative leadership in the House to support the efforts of the Texas Senate and the Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. This session has seen House leadership stall and kill most of Governor Abbott’s emergency legislation. Concerned citizens in the district want results and have asked me to lead, in response to them I feel compelled to answer their call. With the support of so many in this community I am honored to announce my campaign for the Texas House,” said Toth.
