Constable Hayden and team close heroin drug house in Porter

Porter and New Caney, June 9 – The Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office received complaints about a possible drug house in the Holly Ridge neighborhood off of Sorters Road in Porter, TX. Undercover surveillance and a series of investigations lead to a search warrant being secured and in all approximately 48 grams of heroin and a small amount of methamphetamine were found.

Here are the chain of events:

On May 22, 2017, Precinct 4 deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of FM 1314 and Briartree in Porter. During the traffic stop consent was given to search inside the vehicle. The deputies located syringes, a dirty spoon with brown residue, a small electronic scale, edible marijuana, envelopes with dollar amounts written on them and inside each envelope was smaller clear plastic baggies with a hard brown substance that test positive for the presence of heroin. The heroin weighed just over 5 grams. Renee Hemphill, 43 years of age from Cleveland is charged with the First Degree Felony – Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

On May 23, 2017, Precinct 4 deputies and K9 Deputy Dino conducted a traffic stop in the area of FM 1314 and Riverwalk Dr. During the investigation, K9 Dino alerted to the presence of a narcotics. Jennifer McKean, age 41 from Conroe, TX, admitted to having a small baggie of heroin (.5 grams) hidden on her person. Also in the vehicle was Thomas McKean, age 40 from Willis, TX and a small child. Both Jennifer and Thomas were arrested for the state jail felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and state jail felony charge of Child Endangerment. The child was turned over to CPS after a family member could not be located.

The investigation led that both vehicles in the traffic stop came from a residence in Holly Ridge.

On May 23, 2017, late in the evening, Precinct 4 Investigator secured a search warrant for a property in the 23000 block of Holly Ridge Road. The Precinct 4 Special Response Team division executed the search warrant soon after. During the execution of the search warrant, .6 grams of methamphetamine and 42.6 grams of heroin, some of which were in envelopes, were discovered. Joshua Campbell, 34 years of age from Crosby was arrested for the state jail felony – Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine). Judy Mueller, 52 years of age from Porter, TX was arrested for the first degree felony – Manufacturer/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (heroin).

Constable Rowdy Hayden stated, “These narcotics were obviously destined for the streets of East Montgomery County. Heroin is an incredibly addictive narcotic and I’m glad we were able to intercept the narcotics before more of it hit the streets.
