AN OPEN LETTER FROM KELLI COOK TO CRAIG DOYAL, MIKE MEADOR, JD LAMBRIGHT

Political activist Kelli Cook.

October 20, 2017

Dear County Judge Craig Doyal, County Commissioner Mike Meador, County Attorney JD Lambright, Maintenance Director Paul Case, and to whom else this concerns:

It is against the law for a public servant to use public property for your own personal gain. Does this apply to employees?
Seems like to me employees should rent a storage unit or keep their trailers on their own property.  I will be doing a drive by of the Maintenance yard and to see if Mr. Case’s trailer is still on the yard.  Because it’s not fair for Riley and Doyal to “be in trouble” for this offense if others are allowed to do it without complaints.  It’s a lot of work to drive around and file complaints and I don’t want to do it.  There’s about 201 other things I would rather do.
Can you send out a memo reminding people in your charge about your policy, the written policy? Or do you allow employees to use publically funded storage?
If so, do you allow the public to do so also?  I literally have 7 trailers  I would like to store a few of them at Commissioner Precinct 1 yard if you have made exceptions for employees or the public, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Kelli Cook
Montgomery
